An export customs declaration provides HMRC with information about the goods leaving the UK, the exporter, destination, value, procedure and transport.

Clearance must normally be obtained before the goods leave the UK.

We will usually need a commercial invoice, packing list, commodity code, goods description, value, origin, destination, Incoterms, transport details and your GB EORI number.

Licences or certificates may also be required for controlled goods.

The declaration must be submitted before the goods are presented to customs.

Do I need a GB EORI number to export goods?

Most businesses exporting commercial goods from Great Britain need a valid GB EORI number.
